
What Publication
Information do you need to record in order to create a legal (non-plagiarized)
reference?
Publication information can include the following:
- Name
of author(s), editor(s)
- Name
of book, article, web page, etc.
- Name
of journal, magazine, newspaper, web site, etc.
- Volume
numbers, page numbers, if applicable
- Copyright
date, publication date, date article was posted (Internet), date you saw
it on-line (Internet)
- Name
of publisher and more
ÑOnce you are fairly
sure you will use some of the information in a particular source, here is what
to do:
- Go to Landmarks Citation
Machine and find the type of source in the yellow strip on the left.
- Click
on it and see on the right the boxes you will have to fill to create a
reference.
- Be
sure you retrieve the publication information to fill those boxes when you
create the citation in the process.
