PROQUEST Steps for Cliff Schneider’s essay “I’m Still Learning From My Mother”

J I recommend you check off these steps as you complete them.

____1. Go to our S.C.C. campus website (http://www.scc.spokane.edu).

____2. Once there click on the "library" link (down the left side of the screen).

____3. Next click on ProQuest, under the heading "Library Databases."

____4. If you are off campus, enter your Student Identification Number (SID) as your Library Card Number and click "continue."

____5. Click on the green ADVANCED tab at the top of the screen.

____6. In the first strip, type in the article title “I’m Still Learning From My Mother.”

____7. In the strip below, next to the right of the word “AND,” type in the author’s name “Schneider.”

____8. Look to the right of the “Schneider” you just typed and find the words “Citation and Abstract.” Just to the right of these, click on the black down-arrow and select “Author” from the drop-down strip.

____9. Click “Search.”

____10. If all has gone well, you should be looking at the blue-font article title “I’m still learning from my mother.” Click on this title to read the abstract (the summary) and the full article.
