Providence: Events (bad or good) that could be perceived as random are rather perceived as destined by a Higher Power

Providence is God's fore-knowledge, kindly care, and governance over the universe at large and human affairs in particular.

EVIL

"Either God wants to remove evil from the world, and he can't, or he can and he doesn't want to; or he neither wants to nor can; or, finally, he can and he doesn't want to. If he wants to and can't, that is powerlessness, which is contrary to the nature of God; if he can and doesn't want to, that is maliciousness, and that is no less contrary to his nature; if he doesn't want to and he cannot, that is at once maliciousness and powerlessness; if he can and he wants to (which are the sole options that agree with the nature of God) then where does the evil that is on earth come from?"
