week we read the following excerpts from the Hebrew Bible. P The Hebrew Bible, pp. 34-38 in our textbook. P Genesis, pp. 39-66 in our textbook. 1. First,
please return to the above pages for a brief review before moving to the next
step. In particular look for qualities
of the Hebrew God of Abraham, Noah, and
Joseph. Make a rough list of the
qualities of the Hebrew God. 2. Next, please consider the teachings of
Jesus in this week’s assignments, most particularly his parables. After doing so, please make a rough list of
the qualities of the Christian God Jesus presents to his audience. 3. Then, for this writing assignment, first write a paragraph
or two presenting the essential differences between the Hebrew God and the
Christian God as they are portrayed. 4.
Finally, end this writing assignment with a paragraph explaining why the differences. 5. Please
