Traditional coursework is combined with a discussion of what mathematics is and does along with an examination of problem-solving techniques. Topics covered include set theory, logic, finance, counting and probability, and statistics. Additional topics may vary at the discretion of the instructor. Prerequisite: Intermediate Algebra with a 2.0 or better or appropriate score on the placement exam.
