This course is designed as an option for students needing to satisfy a post intermediate algebra requirement where their field of study does not require a specific course. Traditional coursework is combined with a discussion of what mathematics is and does along with an examination of problem-solving technique. Specific topics may very at the discretion of the instructor. Prerequisite: Math 99 with a 2.0 or better.

Nothing in this syllabus is meant to curtail legitimate on-topic classroom discussion that is conducted in a civil manner. Academic dialogue is encouraged and is enhanced by these norms for civil behavior.
