Chapter 4--Beginnings and Endings, pp. 79-87, of our text Steps
to Writing Well.
2. When finished, review
the twelve lead-ins on pp. 80-81.
3. From this list
of twelve lead-ins, select the two or three that appeal to
you most as a reader.
4. Be prepared to share your choices with the class.
