Ginny Powers,
SCC Business & Management Instructor
Welcome
Ginny Powers earned both her B.A. and M.A. from Eastern Washington University. She teaches Human Resource Management, Retailing,
Principles of Management, Introduction to Business and Leadership. She has served the AHE (Association for Higher Education) in
many capacities and continues to work on behalf of faculty in this organization. She currently serve as the department chair for
the Business and Management Department. Ms. Powers has experience in management in the retail grocery industry. As a past and
current DEC (Delta Epsilon Chi) co-advisor, she has advised
and assisted many students who have competed at the state and international level, and who have earned awards at each of the
competitions. DECA is a national organization composed of high school students, college students, and their advisors. DEC is
the collegiate division known as an association of marketing and management students, but welcomes students from many other
areas - accounting, business technology, and hospitality programs to name a few.
