Thank you for visiting my site. I have been involved in the cardiovascular
field for almost 20 years now. I have been witness to dramatic changes in
treatment options for patients suffering from the nation's number one killer,
cardiovascular disease. There is extensive research ongoing to constantly
improve the medication and devices we deploy into our patients' vascular
systems.
These range from metal stents to hold vascular walls up to gene therapy to
deliver genetic encoding directly to the heart muscle. When you choose a career
in this field, you will be on the front lines working with cardiologists in real
life-and-death situations, just like on TV! One of the best rewards I get from
my work with patients is the look on family members' faces when we bring a loved
one back from the brink.
SCC's invasive cardiovascular technology program is very well respected in the field. Our graduates are heavily recruited even before they graduate.
