Doug Nelson earned a B.S. in both economics and management from the United States Air Force Academy, an M.A. in economics from the University of Washington, and an M.I.T. from Whitworth College. He teaches both macroeconomics and microeconomics as well as business statistics at SCC. Before retiring from the US Air Force, he was assistant professor of economics for the United States Air Force Academy, and later was visiting assistant professor of economics at Whitworth College. Doug owns a couple of local Subway sandwich shops and is a also a licensed financial analyst for Primerica Financial Services.
